How to Support
All our shops need good quality items, such as clothing, furniture, fashion accessories and Bric-a-Brac to help generate income.
If you have any items you would like to donate, please contact us using the details on our Contact Us page. A free collection service can be provided; if you would like to arrange collection please contact us on 07496 252516.
Alternatively, you can just drop them off at your closest shop. Visit the Our Shops page to find your closest Going for Bust shop.
Please review the images below for examples of items we look for, but if you are unsure then we will be happy to advise you over the phone.








Become a volunteer
We are always in need of helpful, friendly volunteers in our shops. If you can spare a couple of hours a week to join us in one of our thirteen local shops, we would be pleased to hear from you.
This is the perfect opportunity to support us, help us and meet new people. To apply please email us at goingforbust@outlook.com or alternatively call into one of the shops where a manager will be happy to take your details.
How the local community have supported Going for Bust
Stourfield Junior School - 13th June 2023
Stourfield Junior School in Iford have recently raised £194.83 for our Support Centre.
The money was raised by the year 6 classes as part of their charity event. The children made their own products to sell including friendship bracelets and art.

We would like to thank them for supporting us.
Slimming World West Moors - 18th January 2023
Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque for £221.00 from Karen Fripp who runs Slimming World in West Moors.
This amount was raised from a Christmas Dinner and Raffle held at the St Leonards Hotel in December.

We would like to thank Karen and all of her Slimming World team for supporting us.
Steve Carrington - 17th January 2023
Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque for £318.50 from Steve Carrington.
This amount was raised from a Sponsored Head Shave at Henlow Church of England Academy School where he works.

The donation will help towards the running of our Breast Cancer Support Centre, so that we can continue offering the services we provide to the local communities in Dorset & Hampshire.
Val Drew Coffee Morning - 6th December 2022
Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque for £422.60 from Val Drew & Emma Francis.
This amount was raised from a coffee morning and raffle they held at the Three Legged Cross Village Hall on Saturday 3rd December 2022.

The donation will help towards the running of our Breast Cancer Support Centre, so that we can continue offering the services we provide to the local community.

Wimborne Riding Club - 27th November 2022
Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque for £1,649.25 from the Wimborne and District Riding Club.

This amount was raised from their Annual Charity Sponsored Ride, held at Manor Farm, Gussage All Saints on Sunday 2nd October 2022.
It is the 4th year that we have been chosen as the charity they raise funds for at this event. We would like to thank them for their continued support.
Pom Pom London - 23rd November 2022
Going for Bust have been presented with a donation of £7,310.00 from Pom Pom London.
This amount was raised from the sale of their Limited Edition Pink City & Mayfair Bags during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The donation will help towards the running of our Going for Bust Breast Cancer Support Centre in Wimborne, so that we can continue offering the services we provide to the local community.

Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque for £500.00 from Co.Mad (Colehill Music & Drama).

This amount was raised from their Annual Pantomime held at the Colehill Memorial Hall in February 2022.

Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque for £2483.47 from the Wimborne and District Riding Club.

This amount was raised from their Annual Charity Sponsored Ride, held at Manor Farm, Gussage All Saints on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

Waitrose in Wimborne have donated a cheque for £333.00 to our support centre. This is part of their Community Matters Scheme.

Going for Bust Support Centre have been presented with a donation cheque of £6,315.29, by the Co-op in Wimborne.

This was raised as part of the Co-op Local Community Fund, where members donate via the money they spend instore to help causes in their local community. We would like to thank them for their support.
Lounge Hair & Beauty Salon - 28th October 2019
The Lounge Hair & Beauty Salon in Moordown, recently held a Cake/Coffee and Raffle event for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

They raised an amazing £903.00 and donated this to Going for Bust. We would like to thank Martin and his team for thinking of us.
Zumba Event - Saturday 12th October 2019

Adrian James and Dave Broom from St Marks Church in Talbot Village have donated a cheque for £569.00 to the Going for Bust Support Centre in Wimborne.

This was raised from a recent Charity Picnic Event held in the grounds of the church.
Asda Poole - 3rd May 2019
Going for Bust came 1st in the recent Asda Community Life Green Token Scheme at the West Quay Road, Poole Store. The support of the local community helped to raise £500 for our support centre.

Val & Rob Hillier - 6th November 2018
Going for Bust would like to thank Val & Rob Hillier (Val volunteers at our Swanage shop). On 27th October 2018, they had a 45th Wedding Anniversary Party and instead of gifts, asked for donations towards a raffle, which they held on the night and raised an amazing £1005,00 for Going For Bust. This is very much appreciated and we would like to thank Val & Rob for thinking of us.

We'd also like to thank Lorraine at our Swanage shop for helping to collect the raffle prizes and The Soul Cellar for their contribution towards the final amount donated. Every donation helps in the fight against Breast Cancer in Dorset and Hampshire.

Fashion Show
Recently Going for Bust had a fantastic evening supported by M & Co, at their shop in Wimborne. We were even joined by the Mayor of Wimborne, who also took part in the fashion show.


William Brown
A great big thank you to William Brown from Ringwood who recently dyed his hair green and raised £37.50 which he kindly donated to Going For Bust. Well Done William!


Stitch 4 Charity
Stitch 4 Charity, who are a group of local ladies have handmade and stitched the following items and donated them to our Verwood shop to sell and help support us in the fight against Breast Cancer.
